Acryllic airbrush metallic colors:
Depending on the light, or angle color shifts from one shade to other. Shake well, apply in thin layers. Best effects obtained over a gloss black base color. The multichromatic pigments used in this formulation give the paint a vibrant metallic sparkle, while their glass-like coating acts like a refracting prism. Each flake presents a variety of colors depending on the angle of view and incident light; the color shift effect is observable with both hig and low-gloss applications and in a wide variety of lighting conditions and is intensified if the colors are applied on a curved surface, best effects obtained over a gloss black base color.
Airbrush and compressor:
The viscosity of the color allows you to work with airbrushes with a needle as small as 0,2mm. The colors can be used directly or diluted with distilled water; recommended proportion is 4 parts of color to 1 part of water. We recommend working with a compressor pressure between PSI 10-15, 0,75-1,10 Bar, (0,5-1kgs).
Mixing:
It is possible to achieve different color shift effects by mixing the colors.
Brush application:
For brush application dilute the colors with water in a recommended proportion of 4 parts of color to 1 part of distilled wather. The color should be applied with even strokes in one direction.
Drying time:
Colors dry very fast on most surfaces; however, it is important to allow each coat to fully dry before applying the next one.
Varnish:
Best effects are obtained using the Vallejo Varnishes ref 70.520, 70.522 or 70.510 and also Vallejo Spray Gloss Varnish ref 28.530.
