De Kolonisten van Catan: Kooplieden en Barbaren

The third major extension to The Settlers of Catan. Merchants & Barbarians contains 4 variants of The Settlers of Catan and 5 new challenging scenarios, which can be combined to a greater or lesser degree with each other and with The Navigators and Cities & Knights.

For example, we find a harbor master, who rewards players with settlements at port locations with points. Or a friendly highwayman who robs the wealthy à la Robin Hood. For those who are less fortunate, there is the 'Events on Catan' variant, in which the dice are replaced by a balanced set of cards. At the request of players around the world, there is also a variant where you can play the basic game with two players. However, the bulk of the guide consists of the description of five completely new scenarios, which are sorted by level of difficulty. From the simple 'Vissers van Catan', via 'De Trektocht' to the final scenario 'Merchants & Barbarians', which is in level with the spicy 'Cities & Knights'. Merchants & Barbarians offers a collection of new elements to make the Settlers of Catan an entirely new gaming experience.
