Dying Message is a clever deduction game from Oink Games where the “victim” leaves an elegant final clue and the detectives must piece together the truth from very limited information.
How do you play the game?
One player becomes the victim and creates a “dying message” using a small set of cards and their own pose to point toward the culprit—straight out of a mystery novel. The trick is balance: if the clue is too obvious, the culprit can destroy it; if it’s too vague, nobody will understand. Then the detectives discuss what they think the scene reveals and try to solve the case through observation, interpretation, and sharp reasoning. Players may cooperate or influence each other, making every round feel different depending on the table.
Why is this game recommended?
Dying Message delivers a compact whodunit experience: quick setup, big interaction, and memorable moments when a clue is interpreted in an unexpected (but brilliant) way.
