In Brass: Birmingham, you are a competitive entrepreneur during the English Industrial Revolution in the period 1770-1870. During the game you expand your empire by building canals and railroads and by building and developing various industries, such as coal mines, ironworks and breweries.

Brass Birmingham is played in 2 eras: the canal era and the railroad era. As in the Industrial Revolution, at the beginning of the game you make connections through canals. In the second era, railroads are available and you can expand your network by rail. In both eras you build and develop different industries, trade goods, receive income and try to earn the most points!
