How do you play the game?
Inis (3rd Edition) is a strategic area control game for 2–4 players, ages 14 and up, with a playtime of about 60–90 minutes. Each round starts with the Assembly phase, where players draft a shared deck of Action cards: you always know which effects exist in the round, but not who will wield them. In the Season phase, players take turns either passing, claiming a Pretender token if they fulfil a victory condition, or playing an Action, Advantage or Epic Tale card. You win by being elected High King after meeting at least one of the three victory conditions (Leadership, Land or Religion) and holding onto your claim until all opponents pass.
