Tails on Fire is an interactive card game from CGE/HeidelBÄR Games where you select just three cards each round, out-time your rivals, and try to be the last to keep a higher card to capture fiery points.

How to play

All players start with identical hands. Before each round, choose exactly three cards to use that round. On your turn, play a card exactly one higher than the top of the pile or pass. If your card is still on top when your turn comes back, you win the round and gain a Fire card—sometimes even stealing from opponents. After multiple rounds, the player with the most flames wins.

Why this game?

Teach in a minute, master with timing. The “pick three” dilemma creates constant table-reading, bluffing, and adaptation—punchy as a 3–5 player filler, fun at 2 or 6.
