Color-Express (2+) is a compact travel game by HABA where toddlers roll a color die, spot matching wagons, and attach them to their locomotive to build the longest train.
How do you play the game?
Give each player a locomotive tile and place the wagon tiles face up in the center. Players take turns rolling the color die. The color you roll tells you which wagon you may take. Attach that wagon behind your locomotive so your train grows piece by piece. Turns stay short and clear—roll, look, choose, connect—so even young children can follow along easily. This makes it a great “on the go” game for trips, restaurants, or quick play moments at home. When all wagons are taken, compare trains. The player with the most wagons has the longest Color-Express and wins. Along the way, children practice color recognition, focused looking, and taking turns in a playful, stress-free way.
Why is this game a great pick?
Color-Express is easy to learn and satisfying to play because you can literally see your train getting longer every turn.
