Monster: Peter is a fast and funny card game by HABA where children collect matching monster pairs, while trying not to get stuck with the unlucky “Monster Peter” card.
How do you play?
Shuffle and deal the cards. Players first lay down any matching pairs already in their hand. Then, take turns drawing one card blindly from the next player. If you can form a monster pair, place it down immediately. The game keeps moving with a simple loop: draw, make pairs, discard pairs. When all pairs are gone, one card remains. Whoever holds the “Monster Peter” (the Black Pete card) loses. The rules are light, the turns are quick, and the monster theme keeps it playful for kids.
Why is this game a great pick?
This is a kid-friendly take on a classic pairing game: quick to learn, highly interactive, and perfect as a travel card game.
