For more than 600 years, St Andrews has felt the tread of every great golf champion and shuddered as millions of golfers hammered and chopped, hit and hit balls of wood, leather, gutta percha and balata. He has felt the caress of hickory and the sharp attack of knives of steel and titanium.

This panoramic 636-piece puzzle was painted by the talented artist Terry Harrison.

Terry Harrison was born near Wendover and attended Farnham Art School before becoming a graphic artist in London. He later went to work as an illustrator for the Yellow Pages and then for Thompson Directories at their headquarters in Farnborough. In his spare time, Terry practiced his first love: landscape painting.

By 1984, the demand for his original work was so great that he decided to paint full time and never looked back! After only 12 short years, Terry was awarded Best Up and Coming Published Artist of The Year by the Fine Art Trade Guild, and five years later in 2001, Terry had his first book, "Brush with Watercolor," published; this sold over 140,000 copies.

It is no surprise that Terry Harrison could lay claim to the fact that his drawings can be found in most homes across the country, in one form or another. Terry was a kind, thoughtful man who created beautiful works of art, many of which have been in our jigsaw puzzle series for nearly two decades. He will be greatly remembered and we hope his artwork continues to bring joy to all who have the privilege of viewing his paintings.
