Star Explorer is an astronomy-themed flip-and-write board game by Queen Games in which 1 to 4 players draw constellations on rotating star maps and score points.
How do you play the game?
Star Explorer lasts six rounds. Each player uses a personal board, star disc and dry-erase marker. In each round, a constellation size is selected, after which everyone simultaneously reveals a matching tile and draws that pattern on the visible section of the star disc. Correct star types, connections and advantageous placement score points. Skipped stars may cost points. The star disc then rotates to the next round.
Why is this game recommended?
The game combines spatial thinking, pattern recognition and planning in an accessible astronomy puzzle. Most actions happen simultaneously, keeping downtime low and each session compact.
