Via Gladiola is a fast card game by Gam'inBIZ where players experience the Nijmegen Four Days Marches with blisters, flowers and timing.
In Via Gladiola, you play four walking days in about fifteen minutes. Each turn, you decide whether to keep walking, take a rest or use a gladiolus on the final day. Moving too fast can force you to draw extra cards and collect painful blisters. The goal is not simply to be the fastest walker, but to pace yourself wisely. After four rounds, the player with the fewest blister penalties wins. The cards show humorous scenes from the famous walking event and together form a panorama of more than three metres. This makes Via Gladiola an accessible family game, quick card game and original gift for walkers, Nijmegen fans and anyone who enjoys light tactical games with a distinctive Dutch theme.
How do you play the game?
Play a card higher than the previous one, but do not jump too far ahead. Big steps can make you draw extra cards and collect blisters. Rest at the right time and finish with the fewest penalties.
