Shadow Thorn belongs to the John Blanche Masterclass and uses the pigment-rich Warpaints Fanatic formulation. The paint is built around a premium resin base with stabilisers that help retain pigment dispersion even when heavily thinned. Its deep, cool green-blue tone is particularly useful for shadow areas where you want to retain more visible colour than a neutral black would provide. Use Shadow Thorn for dark basecoats, layering, blending, glazing and controlled shadow placement on armour, cloth, creatures, machinery and supernatural subjects. The colour sits within the Deep Green-Blues colour progression and is also included in John Blanche Masterclass Volume 3.
