The Carnegie game is inspired by the life of Andrew Carnegie, born in Scotland in the year 1835. Andrew Carnegie emigrated with his parents to the United States in the year 1848. Although he started his career as a telegraph operator, he became one of the world's richest because of his role as a major player in the rise of the steel industry in the United States, becoming an icon of the "American Dream."

Andrew Carnegie was also a benefactor and philanthropist; upon his death in 1919, he left $350 million to various foundations and another $30 million to charities. His donations accounted for the creation of nearly 2,500 public and free libraries known by his name; the Carnegie Libraries.

During the game, you hire employees, expand your business, invest in real estate, produce and sell goods, and set up transportation lines across the United States. You even work with important figures of the time. Perhaps you will become an illustrious benefactor yourself, contributing to the greatness of his country through generosity!

The game takes place over 20 rounds; with players having one turn each round. During each turn, the active player chooses one of four actions, which the other players can then follow. The goal of the game is to establish the most prestigious company, symbolized by victory points.
