Hoogtij! (6+)

High Tide! from HABA is an exciting dice and racing game for 2 to 4 players aged 6 and up. Teams of sandworms race across the beach to the reef, while a moving wave threatens to wash everyone away. With four dice, you choose each time: move your own sandworms forward or let the wave roll closer. The first to get their sandworms safely across the finish line wins. 

Today, the beach is very busy because the Wad Rally is about to start. Each player controls a team of cheerful sandworms who want to crawl to the reef as quickly as possible. But the tide is coming in and a huge wave is moving closer and closer to the beach. If your sandworms don't take shelter in a sand hole in time, the wave will mercilessly wash them back to the start. 

In High Tide!, you roll four dice on your turn. Then you decide which symbols to use. Will you let your sandworms race towards the reef, or will you let the wave advance to endanger your opponents' pawns? Will you play it safe or dare to take an extra throw to get further, at the risk of the wave disrupting your entire plan? 

The three-dimensional game board with a real moving wave and wooden sandworms creates a strong beach feeling on the table. The rules are simple enough for children, but because you constantly have to assess risks and can thwart each other, the game remains fun for older players too. In this way, children learn to plan, assess risks, deal with tension, and play together in a playful way. 

With a playing time of about 20 minutes, Hoogtij! is ideal as a light-hearted family game, vacation game, or quick warm-up during a game night.
