Honey Wall is a tactical roll-and-write game by Jolly Dutch in which you protect larvae with honey, build scoring areas, and watch out for wasps stealing from unprotected sections of your hive.
How do you play the game?
In Honey Wall, players try to score as many points as possible by surrounding larvae with honey on their personal sheets. On your turn, you roll the dice and draw larvae or honey onto your board. Larvae that are not fully protected remain vulnerable, because once wasps appear, opponents may steal them and score those at the end of the game. Large enclosed groups are worth more, but they also create more tension when your defence is not yet complete. The game also includes unlockable dice and bonus progression through flowers, which gradually improves your options. The game ends as soon as a player creates two enclosed areas with at least seven larvae each, or five smaller protected areas. The player with the most points wins.
Why is this game a great choice?
Honey Wall blends dice rolling, timing, and player interaction into a compact game that is easy to learn but still offers satisfying tactical depth. The bee theme gives it a fresh visual identity, while the possibility of stealing exposed larvae adds tension between players. It is a strong choice for players who enjoy interactive roll-and-write games.
