Imperial Gold 18 ml - True Metallic Metal Shade is a focused satin wash by Vallejo for warm shadow and depth on golden metallic surfaces.
Why choose this satin wash?
Imperial Gold Shade 77.143 is part of Vallejo’s True Metallic Metal range and is made as the Shade step within the Base, Shade and Light system. This warm shading colour is designed to give golden metallic base colours more definition, contrast and realistic depth. Apply it over Imperial Gold Base or Light to make recesses, panel lines, decorative details, weapons, armour plates and ornaments stand out more clearly. The satin finish helps preserve the shine of the underlying metallic layer, so the gold does not become flat or dull. Its water-based acrylic formula is suitable for miniatures, wargaming figures, fantasy heroes, historical models and scale modelling projects. Use Imperial Gold Shade locally for sharp shadows, or thin it with water for softer transitions. For painters looking for a gold wash, acrylic wash or model paint for realistic metallic effects, this colour is a practical choice.
