Oddland is a unique tile-laying and pattern-building game by Allplay. Players explore a mysterious island, placing terrain cards and documenting bizarre species through strategic token placement.
How do you play?
Each turn, you place a terrain card onto the shared island, overlapping existing ones if desired. Then, you place one of your seven fauna or flora tokens on the card you just played. Each species scores differently based on terrain adjacency or grouping—like the pigehorse, which prefers desert edges and coastlines. After seven rounds or when space runs out, final scores are tallied based on how well your tokens align with their unique scoring rules.
Why is this game recommended?
With only seven turns, every move in Oddland is impactful. Smart tile placement, optimal scoring zones, and token timing are key to winning. Player interaction is strong as tiles build on a shared map, creating tension and competition for the best spots. The solo mode offers a deep, rewarding puzzle experience for solo strategists.
