Shut The Box is a classic wooden dice game from Engelhart in which players use clever calculations to close as many numbers as possible.
How do you play the game?
In Shut The Box, players roll the dice and close one or more numbered flaps that match the total rolled. If you roll a seven, you may close 7, 3 and 4, or another valid combination. As long as you can make legal number combinations, your turn continues. When no more numbers can be closed, the remaining open numbers count as penalty points. This version supports up to six players, with each player using their own row of numbers. The player with the fewest penalty points wins. The game is easy to learn and encourages mental arithmetic, tactical choices and dice luck.
