Splendor Kids is a welcoming board game from Space Cow where 2–4 young travelers collect resources and race across the kingdom to be first at the Palace of Splendor and earn the Queen’s Medal.
How do you play?
On your turn, choose one action: take resources (nuts, apples, water) or move your traveler along the paths. Spend resources to visit cities (tiles) and feed residents, unlocking routes and effects. The modular kingdom board and variants keep each race fresh. First to reach the palace wins. Turns are quick, rules concise, and planning light but meaningful for kids and families.
Why is this game recommended?
Splendor Kids distills Splendor’s core—managing resources and timing your sprint—into a family-friendly pace. Components are language-independent (icons), and Dutch/French rules are included. A simple “one action per turn” system keeps playtime short, while double-sided boards and tile mixes boost replayability. A great first strategy game from age 6.
