Stone Layer is a tense, tactical stacking game from Peliko where steady hands meet clever decisions—build on six shared stone stacks and try to make the timing work in your favor.
How do you play?
Players build six common stacks along the “river.” On your turn, choose a stone tile, take one stone from the indicated selection, and carefully place it on the required stack. Then move the location marker; it determines where the next player must build. If the stack collapses during your placement, the other players who contributed to that stack score points. First to 10 points wins.
Why is this game a great pick?
Stone Layer stays exciting because every move does two things: it changes how stable a stack is and it guides the next player to a specific location. That creates constant interaction and plenty of “do I play it safe or push my luck?” moments. It’s easy to teach, yet surprisingly sharp once you start planning marker movement and stack stability. With a play time of about 30 minutes, it’s ideal as a quick family game or as multiple rounds in a row. Different stone sizes and shapes keep each session feeling fresh and unpredictable.
