With Stuglandet: The Game, you bring home a charming, tactical dice game from HABA where wooden cabins compete for the most beautiful spots—lakefront plots, city tiles, and even an island.
How do you play the game?
In Stuglandet you want to place your cabins on the best locations to score the most points. Players take turns “rolling” wooden cabins as if they were dice. Based on the roll, you place, move, or swap cabins on the board to claim valuable plots and improve your scoring opportunities. Other players are trying to do the same, so timing and positioning matter. When the game ends, you score points from your cabins depending on the locations you managed to secure. Highest total wins.
Why is this game worth it?
Stuglandet stands out thanks to its clever cabin-rolling mechanism and surprisingly meaningful choices. Each turn is quick, yet you’re constantly weighing safe points against bold plays to grab premium spaces before someone else does. It’s easy to teach, but stays engaging for both kids and adults because the board state changes fast and interaction is constant. With a play time of about 30 minutes, it’s a strong family-night pick and a great in-between game. Quality wooden components and a cozy “cabin life” theme make it especially inviting on the table.
